Last Day of Work!

Need I say more?

I was out at 5pm! Even though I'm seriously going to miss everyone, I'm not going to miss the 30 minute drive each way! Especially when my feet look like this every. single. day. and. night.

I even had salesmen purposely have lunch in our breakroom so they could look at my feet! My friend said I should have started charging them!

Seriously?

I had to switch to a different OB (in the same practice) due to my work schedule. So now I have Rita. At me last appt with Dr. L, he told me that Mason was larger than average and that I should start thinking about having a c-section. Umm no, not happening. I'm all for a c-section as a last resort but I'm not scheduling a c-section.

Fast forward to my appt with Rita and she tells me the same thing! I ask what was their above average was and they said 8lbs. How is 8lbs an above average weight?!

I tell them that I want to labor and then we'll go from there.

So how to I calm myself down?

Cheesecake flavored frozen yogurt with cheesecake pieces and cherries! Yum!

Surprise Work Shower!

I got to work at my normal time and when I got to my desk, I saw two gift bags. I pushed them to the side and started to work. My cubeible neighbor Barbara, came over to me and asked if I opened them yet. I told her no, and that she didn't have to get me anything (I always feel weird about random gifts and especially since I had only been working there for only a few months)

She gave me the cutest outfits and the other gift was from one of the other women in the other office, a super soft blanket!

Everything went on like normal until our afternoon break. One of the girl's came up to me and said that we're having cake in the break room. I could always go for a piece of cake being 8 months pregnant, so I waddled in there and there is everyone from both offices, yelling Surprise!

I got outfits, blankets, and gift cards! I was almost crying because of how sweet and generous everyone was!

I seriously have some good co-workers!

Baby Shower!

I was so excited for this day! But I have come to realize that my time management skills are not the greatest and of course, neither is my sister's :)

I decided to go and get my hair styled, well because with the carpool tunnel/tendinitis in both wrists, I didn't want to risk of me dropping my flat iron. I went to Super Cuts without an appointment, thinking that I'll be in and out in 20 minutes. Nope, there were people waiting in line in front of me (duh) so I had to wait. And I would also get the new girl, who would ask the girl next to her how to do my hair. It was just a normal blow dry and curl style so nothing too complicated, but she just didn't want to mess it up. So that put me behind a bit.

Then I had to drive into town to pick up the food at Super Walmart. Good prices, but HORRIBLE service! Me and this other guy waited for at least 10 minutes before we were even acknowledged! Then another 15 minutes for them to bring out the food.

By the time I got home, my family was already there! And because of a family emergency the night before, my sister got to my house late, so she was running around still decorating! I helped unload all the food, and then I had to go upstairs to get ready.

Because of all the running around, I was so hot! I couldn't cool down at all! And with 50+ people inside my house (it was like 90* outside), I turned the AC on to like 60*, lol.

I also thought my house was a pretty good size, but with 50+ people in it, it sooo wasn't! But after all the running around, being late, and all that, I had the most amazing time! I have the best family and friends that anyone could ask for!

I guess it's time to update

Since I have about 5 months to catch you up on, I'll try and do these posts in order and to the best of my memory, lol!

Hanging my head in shame...

Busy is seriously the understatement of the century for me. I guess it's (finally) time to backtrack and give an update for the last 8 weeks or so!

We got our keys for our house on August 2nd, but didn't truly move in until the following week. Justin wanted to paint every single room in the house, since that would be the easiest time to do it. As of now, the house is about 90% done. And oh my god, paint is sooo expensive!!!

I wanted to help but Justin kept shooing my away because of the fumes. I get some points for offering, right?

Here's our new house!

Work is still good, still wish it was closer though. I got pulled into one of the Office Manager's office a couple of weeks ago to talk about how everything was going. Of course she asked me about my maternity leave and what my plans are for after. I told her that I plan on working up until his birth and then returning either after my 6 or 8 weeks off. I did mention to her that me and Justin were talking about me coming back at only part time though. She said that whatever we decide to let her know ASAP so she can talk it over with the owner and the other managers. We still haven't made that decision though, but I think I have decided that my last day of work will me Friday, October 18 and that's if Mason doesn't come sooner than that.

Other than that, nothing much is going on. Now I get to bombard you all my weekly pictures!

Time for an update!

Work has been going good, even though I'm still not used to the hours and the whole working thing :) I've realized that out of both jobs that I do, I would actually prefer to do DMV! I think it's because it actually makes you think about what you're doing, and you can't make a mistake or DMV will find you! (Okay, not really but they catch everything!)

Still in the waiting stage for the house. Eddie said that he was thinking maybe Monday or Tuesday (that's right folks, like in just days!) but Marie said it might be more looking like July 22-ish. As soon as we hear that the loan docs are up (in?), Eddie said we should close the next day and have our keys!!!!

Now it's time to update on Mason!

We had another OB appt this morning and it went great! The nurse got him on the Doppler on the first try and then Mason just oh so casual moved away from her. She had to chase him around for a few minutes, and even had to take a break before she was able to corner him!

Dr. L gave me my lab slip for my GD test. I need to get that done before my next appt. Justin asked him if they do a routine 3rd trimester ultrasound and he said that they don't :( I'll only get another one if they think Mason is getting too big or if he's breech.  I don't think he'll be too big since at my last u/s at 18w, he was measuring at 8 ounces. And Dr. L today said that he's probably right around 1 whole pound now!

Another cool thing, is that at every appt, Dr. L checks where my uterus is and lets me feel it too! Today, my uterus is pretty much right at the bottom of my ribs! It's the size of a soccer ball! How cool is that?

So that means I'll be getting my 3D/4D ultrasound at the little boutique! I think that when I looked at their calendar, we should go in the first weekend in August for the best pictures.

How far along: 25w2d

Size of Baby:  Cauliflower

Total Weight Gain/Loss:  I'm officially up 13 lbs (but only 7lbs if you count from my IUI date)

Maternity Clothes: Yep yep!

Gender: Baby BOY!!! Mason Daniel

Belly Button In/Out: In, it's shallow-er

Stretch Marks: Same ones

Labor Signs: Nope

Movement: He really starts moving after I eat, and then I lay back on the couch. I will get it on video one day!

Sleep: It's taking forever to get comfortable again. And just to roll over, it takes some major motivation for that to happen!

Cravings/Aversions:  Cold things are still pretty high on the list, maybe it's because it's like 105* here :(

Symptoms: I feel like I've officially "popped" since my stomach is sticking out so much today. And while grocery shopping earlier, I think I now waddle

Feeling:  I'm starting to get scared about how fast the time is going and worrying that I won't have enough time to get everything ready

Best Moment this Week: Hearing Mason's heartbeat today (still at 154bpm)

What I Miss: Time, why is it going by so fast?!?!? And for my lower back to stop hurting when I walk around

What I am Looking Forward To: Getting the house ready for baby and the baby shower!

Milestones: We've passed viability! But of course we want him to stay in as long as possible

Baby Milestones: Mason measures about 13.6 inches to 14.8 inches and weighs about 1.5 to 2.5lbs. Mason's nervous system is rapidly developing and he's enjoying his new sense of equilibrium, knowing which way is up and which is down. Plus, he's growing more hair too! The suspense of what Mason will look like is building!

Next Appointment: Thursday, August 8th
